Your posts and comments should contain something useful to the community, the blogger or the forum.
Then theres no use in marking the comments as spam, since you have shared your knowledge.
You will be beneficial to the forum or blog as well + your have SEOed your site! So happy SEOing

I don't think blog commenting can be considered spam.
blog posting is a SEO technique.
